DisplayLink Driver and Anker Dock Manager App
How to Install the DisplayLink Driver
For Windows

Download the DisplayLink Software:

Run the Installer
After downloading, double-click the file to begin installation.

Follow the Installation Wizard
Follow the on-screen prompts. Accept the license agrreement and complete the setup process.

Restart Your Computer
You may be prompted to restart your computer after installation. Please do so to complete setup.

Connect the Dock
Once your computer restarts, connect your DisplayLink-enabled docking station. Windows should automatically detect it and the extend your display.
For macOS

Download the DisplayLink Software

Install the Software
Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. If prompted, drag the DisplayLink app into your Applications folder.

Grant Screen Recording Permission
macOS requires screen recording access to allow DisplayLink to render content on external displays. No images or data are recorded or sent externally.
You will see 3 types of permission prompts:

A system dialog when first connecting the DisplayLink device

A notification from the DisplayLink driver when the device is plugged in

A warning in the DisplayLink Manager icon in the macOS status bar
To grant permission:

Open System Settings
-
Go to Privacy & Security > Screen Recording

Enable DisplayLink Manager
-
Authenticate using your login password or Touch ID
-
Click "Quit" and "Reopen"

Enable Auto Launch at Login
Open DisplayLink > Settings, and check "Launch automatically after login" to keep the app running in the background.

Restart Your Mac
Restart your computer to activate the DisplayLink driver.

Connect the Dock
After restarting, connect your DisplayLink-enabled dock. Your external display should now be detected and working.
Once setup is complete, the DisplayLink icon will appear in your macOS status bar whenever your dock is connected.
