FAQ

Q1: What should I do when using a solar charger to charge Anker SOLIX F3800?

The solar input supports an 11-60V solar charger with an XT-60 connector. If you use an 11-32V solar charger, the current supports 10A max. When you use a 32-60V solar charger, the current supports 25A max.

Q2: Why is the power station not working after it hasn't been used for a long time?

If the power station is stored at a low capacity for a long time, lithium batteries will self-consume power which may lead to a quick discharge. This leads to poor conductivity and a reduced battery lifespan, resulting in poor battery performance.

Q3: How should I store and maintain the power station?

To store your portable power station, make sure you have:
1. Turned off all outputs.
2. Store it in a cool and dry place.
3. Check the battery capacity each week. If it's below 30%, fully charge.
4. Charge the power station to 100% every 3 months.

Q4: In UPS mode, does the 240V ports work?

In UPS mode, only the three 120V ports labeled "UPS" are operational; the 240V ports do not function.

Q5: How do I charge my electric vehicle?

Double-press the 240V power switch to activate EV mode charging, then you can recharge your EV.

Pleasantly surprised

Had F3800 couple of weeks now. Tested out the 400W portable solar array. On a clear sunny day in SC positioned at correct azimuth but 4 deg off best angle (33 vs 29) . I connected my freezer and then a heat gun. total using about 1200 watts. (ran down battery to 90% so solar input would not shot off at full charge. Did that on and off for 8 hours. Peak output from solar panel hit 368 watts. During the test it gave me 2480 watts total I actually expected less. Last hour or so let it reach full charge 100% Have also gone from 85% with AC input in less than 1 hour. Bought this mainly to provide quiet power for freeze and Fridge think it will power both for at least 12 hours then I can recharge with a small propane generator in about 2.5 to 3 hours so far I am very pleased Thinking about adding more solar in the future

Power did not hold and too loud

Expected the power to hold way more than my other smaller ANKER devices. It’s nearly 5x my other device but should be 10+…. Also the fan is cooling even when the unit is cold and charging something simple as a phone. Sad to see.

Happy with my purchase

Crushed it!- Now that i see it in action, I look forward to adding another unit in the near future.
Tip I recommend you order a power cable w a 90 angle to reduce the stress off the connector (cable is very heavy)

Poor Customer Service/Operating Instructions

I purchased the Anker SOLIX F3800 Portable Power Station several weeks ago. No issues with the online purchase or shipping and I give this part of the buying experience a 5 star. Unfortunately, that is the most positive rating I give this product and company currently. First, the F3800 that was sent to me did not include an operating manual/instructions. I had to download them from the Anker SOLIX web site. Next, I have asked customer services specific questions on how to configure 400-watt solar panels to the F3800. The answer I received was an image of a solar recharging diagram, lacking specifics. I am new to the solar market and was expecting a great deal more customer support and a more user-friendly product. Hopefully, this explains my 1-star rating.
