This Privacy Policy applies to information that Anker Innovations Limited, a Hong Kong corporation (“Anker,” “our,” “we” or “us”) collects through PowerCore+ (the “Services”).

Your privacy is important to us. Please read this Privacy Policy to learn about the information that ANKER collects from you and how ANKER uses that information.

BY USING THE SERVICES YOU CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, USE AND TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, THEN PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SERVICES.

PowerCore+ provides a wide range of services related to Charging. For us to provide better services to you, PowerCore+ will collect certain information on certain equipment and your use. Anker understands that privacy is important to you, so we have, where possible, written this Privacy Policy in plain language. This Privacy Policy explains the details of how we collect, use and protect the information we collect from you. The capitalized, defined terms contained in this Privacy Policy are defined at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. We will clearly publish the privacy policies and using terms in the user license agreement page, You can click the button of Accept to agree the policies and terms. By clicking accept button, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you should choose not to use PowerCore+ products or software. By accessing or using PowerCore+ products or website, or downloading PowerCore+ mobile or desktop applications, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Anker reserves the right to revise and update this policy from time to time. All changes are effective immediately when we post them and apply to all access to and use of PowerCore+ thereafter. If you are a registered User, we will usually notify you of any changes via email and/or by asking you to review the changes to this Privacy Policy or our Standard Terms & Conditions the next time you login to PowerCore+. Your continued use of PowerCore+ after the time the changes are communicated will indicate your acceptance of those revised changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Email Communications with Us

If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence and never share information we receive from you via email unless:

  • we have your permission to share that information; or
  • we have given you prior notice that the information will be shared, and with whom; or
  • that information is aggregate information or other information that does not identify you.

Occasionally, we may need to email you. We may need to send you some administrative information, tell you something important about your account or changes to our services, or update you on new policies. These administrative communications are considered part of the Services and your PowerCore+ account, which you may not be able to opt-out from receiving. Note that we will never email you to ask for your password or other Account information; if you receive such an email, contact us so we investigate and take any appropriate action.

What kinds of information do we collect?

While you use the PowerCore+ products, we will collect information you provided or created during using our services in the following manners, to enable us to provide services to you, optimize our services and protect your account and information security.

Information provided by user and others executing operations.

  • User's usage. We collect information on how users use our products, for example, functions used; operations conducted; time, frequency, and duration of users' online activities, etc. For instance, we will collect the information on the time a user accesses the device via application and the last access time, and the operation such as a user to use setting functions in our product. We also will collect relevant parameters of users used to set our products.

Device Information

  • Features of the device: such as unique identifier, device number, operation system, hardware and software version, battery level, signal strength, storage spaces, name and type of applications and documents and information on plug-ins.
  • Device operation: information on operations and behaviors of a user on the device, such the time, frequency, and duration of users using the function.

Third-party Information

  • Third party services as a part of the PowerCore+ services will be provided by third parties, and hence information generated regarding your use of such third-party services may not be available to PowerCore+. However, if you have expressly agreed that such third party may have access to information on your geographic locations, voice instructions and other information, such third party may have access to information on the geographic location of the terminal or voice recording interface through PowerCore+, in such case both PowerCore+ and such third party will have access to information on your geographic location or voice recording. Such information is by nature sensitive, and refusal to provide such information will render your use of such third party services impossible, however that will not interfere with your regular use of other functions of PowerCore+.
  • PowerCore+ will not request your personal information from a third party. If due to future business development needs, there is a need for indirect access to your personal information from a third party, we will solicit your consent to it before we obtain such information. If any personal information processing as required for the conduct of business of PowerCore+ in the future exceeds the authorization in the original consent given by you for the provision of information to a third party, then we will first solicit your consent before process your personal information. We will solicit your consent in certain manners, including without limitation, updating the Privacy Policy of PowerCore+ and obtaining your authorization by use of functions related to it.

How do we use this information?

We will use all information under our possession to enable us to operate, provide, improve, know, customize, support and market our services.

  • Our Services. We will operate and provide our services, including provision of client support and improving, modifying and customizing our services. We will obtain knowledge on how people use our services, and analyze and use information we possess to evaluate and enhance our services, to research, develop and test new services and functions and to perform troubleshooting activities. We will also use your information to make response to your request. We will use cookies to operate, provide, enhance, gain knowledge about and customize our services. As you requested, we will use our best endeavors to provide personal data for you for free within one month.
  • Security and Privacy. We will validate accounts and activities on the accounts, and we will ensure that our services are used for a lawful purpose by investigating suspected violations or breaches of the agreement between us, which will in return protect the safety and privacy of our services.
  • Correspondences on Our Services. We will communicate to you information on our services and functions, and will inform you of our terms and policies and other important updates. We may provide you with the marketing on our services and other marketings by our company.
  • On Protection of Personal Information of Minors This Company places a high priority to the protection of personal information of minors. If you are a minor under the age of 16 (according to the legal requirements of EU member states, the minimum age must not be less than 13 years old), before you use this Product and related services, you shall obtain the written consent from your parent or statutory guardians. In connection with the use of this Product and Services, personal information of minors will be protected in accordance with the applicable EU laws and regulations.
  • We will store data until such data is not required for us to provide services. That shall be analyzed on a case-by-case basis, and depends on the nature of data, cause for collection and processing of such data and applicable requirements of law or the need for retention for operation etc.

How is this information shared?

Third-Party Suppliers. We will cooperate with third-party suppliers to enable us to operate, provide, improve, know, customize, support and market our services. If we and any third party supplier share any information, we will request them to use your information complying with our directions and our terms or with your explicit permission.

Third Party Services while you use any third party services integrated in our services, they may receive information related to any content you share with such third party. For instance, while you use the Alexa smart voice service integrated in our services, they may receive information related to any content you share with such third party. If you interact with a third party service through our service, you may directly provide information to such third party. Please note that your use of such third-party services will be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?

We will access, retain and share information on you if we are sufficiently satisfied that we are required by laws to do so (for example, as required by a search warrant, court order or subpoena). Such requirements may include those from a jurisdiction out of the USA, provided that we are confirmed that giving such a response is required by the law of such jurisdiction and will have an effect on users in such jurisdictions and meets internationally acceptable standards. We may also access, retain and share such information for the following purposes: where we are sufficiently satisfied that it becomes necessary to ascertain, prevent and counter frauds and other illegal activities; to protect us, you and others (including as a part of an investigation), or to prevent death or threatening physical injury.

We will review our Products and Service on a regular basis for compliance with the Privacy Policy. Upon receipt of a formal written complaint, we will contact the complainant and handle the complaint and related matters. We will cooperate with appropriate competent authorities (including local data protection authority) to resolve any complaint regarding any transfer of personal information which is cannot be resolved directly by us with users.

How will we notify you of changes to this policy?

We will notify you prior to the revision of this Policy to allow you to review and comment on the revised Policy before the termination of using our services.

How our global services operate?

Anker may share the information with any company under the Group or with a third party to serve the purpose set forth in this Policy. For instance, in order to fulfill the purpose set forth in this Policy, information collected in any place in the EEA may be transferred to any nation or region out of the EEA. In order to lawfully transfer data from the EEA to the USA or other nations or regions, we will comply with the terms of the standard contract approved by the EU Commission, and adopt other measures under EU laws, and solicit your consent.

Definitions

“Standard Terms & Conditions” means the Standard Terms & Conditions of PowerCore+.

“User” means any person or entity using PowerCore+.

“You” means you, whether you are a person or someone acting on behalf of an entity you are authorized to represent, and whether you are a registered User or not.

“User Content” means all Content posted or otherwise provided or transferred to PowerCore+ by a User, including you.
