A New Vision for Materials

Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us at Anker, it's a core belief. That's why we are lessening our dependence on petroleum-based plastics and finding eco-friendly alternatives. Our commitment to sustainability has led us to reimagine the materials we use, paving the way for a more responsible future.

What We Have Achieved

Eco-Friendly Materials

Less means more when it comes to our approach with materials. We aim to explore eco-friendly alternatives of petroleum-based plastics starting from 2022, with the first and second generations of our bio-based cables.

Anker 541 Cable (Bio-Based)

The cable's exterior is built by incorporating plant-based materials like corn and sugar cane, reducing petroleum consumption by 30-40% and carbon emissions by 20%.

Anker 541 Cable (Bio-Based Nylon)

46% of the outer coating and the connector casing is made of bio-based nylon to minimize petroleum-based plastic like TPE.

Enhanced Product Design

Anker is actively seeking ways to reduce plastic material in our product design and development process.

Nano 3 | Compact to Reduce Plastic Usage

We redesigned our charger to make it a lot smaller. It's 70% smaller than an original 30W charger, saving 30.9 g of plastic with a single charger.

Minimal Plastic Packaging

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we're constantly looking for ways to minimizing plastic packaging and reducing environmental burden.

Less Plastic, More Sustainability

In 2022, we lowered plastic use by 33%, reducing packaging plastic from 60% to 40%, substituting plastic hooks with paper, eliminating window film, using pulp paper closure labels, and reducing plastic usage on inner trays.

Our Plastic Reduction Initiative

Sustainable Printing

We reduced environmental impact by switching to soy ink for packaging printing and decreasing foil stamping in 2022.

Material Reduction

We reduced packaging material consumption by 10 tons in 2022, resulting in 30% reduction in overall material consumption and lighter packaging weighing 20 g less.

Anker's Nano USB-C Lineup
is Now Greener

Our Anker Nano USB-C fast charging lineup just got eco-friendlier. By using up to 80% post-consumer recycled plastic in the exterior casing, we've lessened the impact of disposable plastics.

We've also reduced carbon emissions by 80%, as verified by ISO standards, in line with our commitment to creating products that are both environmentally conscious and high-performing.

Plastics in Packaging

We understand the growing public concern about single-use plastics. Therefore, Anker is determined to increase the use of post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) in new packaging projects from 2023, with a vision of achieving zero plastic starting in 2027.


Starting in 2023, we are stepping up our sustainability game with new packaging initiatives incorporating certified post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR).


Starting in 2025, we are moving toward plastic-free packaging with our new mobile charging accessories, including cables, chargers, power banks, and hubs.


Starting in 2027, we are charging ahead with a commitment to plastic-free packaging across all new Anker products.

Other Materials in Packaging

Anker will implement new projects in 2023 that adopt FSC-certified paper and soy ink while reducing foil stamping and eliminating spot UV.

At its core, energy conservation involves making simple changes to reduce our usage and promote an eco-friendly lifestyle.


Anker's first-ever Hybrid Flyback (HFB) architecture in a charger, boasting 95% energy conversion efficiency to reduce energy loss by up to 21%. In 2022, this technology helped save a maximum of 1,201,538.32kWh of power globally.

Carbon Emissions Reduction

Between 2023 and 2025, Anker charging cables and Anker SOLIX portable power stations expect to reduce absolute kgCO₂e per functional unit by 1% per year. It's part of our overall plan to continue a path toward sustainability.

Carbon-Neutral Products

With our carbon-neutral products certified by Carbon Trust in 2023, we are on track to offset 30,000 tons of CO₂ emissions—equivalent to planting approximately 1,600,000 trees. To achieve this, Anker is funding a Biomass Cogeneration Project registered under the UNFCC's Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) program.

CO₂ Emissions Reduction

In 2022, we partnered with leading semiconductor manufacturers specializing in GaN technology to create a charging revolution. By switching to GaN materials instead of traditional silicone, we reduced carbon emissions by over 5,000 tons. And with GaNPrime's global shipment, we're powering a more sustainable future for all.

Anker has partnered with Oceana, the largest international advocacy organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation.
