How does the entire Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus system work?

The system priority is to first use PV, then battery, and finally grid power. After PV power meets home load and battery charging demands, surplus power is sent to the grid. There are 3 modes to choose from: Self-Consumption, Custom, and Smart Plug.

Does Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network and the Anker app?

You need to use the Anker app to adjust the output of Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus from the default 200W.
 
To check status remotely and to connect to Anker SOLIX Smart Meter and Smart Plug, you need to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Can I run solar/photovoltaic panels and battery supply power concurrently with Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus?

Yes, PV panels and Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus supply power simultaneously.
On-Grid: Total power is based on the set max output.
Off-Grid: The Pro version supplies up to 1000W; the Plus version does not have output, but PV panels charge the battery.

What should I do before shutting down Solarbank for winter?

We recommend charging Solarbank's battery to at least 80% before shutting it down.

What happens when my Solarbank 2 Pro/Plus is fully charged?

When Solarbank 2 Pro/Plus is 100% charged, excess power produced by the panels is sent to your home.
 
If surplus electricity cannot be stored or used by your home, it is sent to the grid.
 
Note that in Self-Consumption mode, if you have another PV system and its power output to the grid exceeds Solarbank 2's maximum output, Solarbank 2 will stop outputting power.
 
If you require Solarabnk 2 to continue outputting power, switch to Custom mode.

What precautions should be taken before installing/adding expansion batteries to Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus?

Before installing expansion batteries, power off Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus. This protects you and the product. Installing batteries with Solarbank 2 E1600 activated can damage the product and is not covered by warranty.

How do Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and expansion battery packs charge and discharge?

Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus and expansion battery packs work together to dynamically adjust charging and discharging. This may cause slight differences in battery SOC, which is normal.

Does Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus (A17C1/A17C3) work with Solarbank E1600 (A17C0)?

Not yet, but we'll release an update soon to use Solarbank E1600 as an expansion battery for Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro/Plus.
