for Selected Power Banks
Earlier this year, Anker implemented a series of enhanced quality assurance protocols designed to detect manufacturing issues earlier in the production cycle. These safeguards—including expanded component-level audits and supplier testing—helped us identify a potential issue with common, lithium-ion battery cells from a single vendor.
While the likelihood of malfunction is considered minimal, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to initiate a voluntary global recall of several Anker power bank models. We have formally notified and are coordinating with regulatory authorities in all regions to ensure the recall is conducted in compliance with all applicable local guidelines.
The following products may be affected:
- Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1647
- Anker MagGo Power Bank (10,000mAh, 7.5W) — Model A1652
- Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) — Model A1257
- Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C and Lightning Cable) — Model A1681
- Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1689
Step 1: Check your model number—located on the back or side of your power bank. If it matches one of the following models (A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681, A1689), proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Verify your serial number or submit your proof of purchase using our online recall form: http://www.anker.com/rc2506-form
Note: Please carefully review the letters and numbers in your serial number, such as "1," "L," "l," "2," and "Z." Characters like "0" (zero) and "O" (letter O) are easily confused. Affected serial numbers do not contain the letters "O" or "I."

If your product is confirmed to be affected: - Stop using the device immediately. - Do not dispose of the power bank until you receive confirmation from Anker that your unit qualifies.

After receiving confirmation from Anker that your unit qualifies for a full refund or gift card, please dispose of the affected unit at a certified facility that accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries.
Do not discard this recalled lithium-ion battery in the trash, general recycling streams (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery drop-off boxes commonly found at retail or home improvement stores. These drop-off points are not equipped to handle recalled lithium-ion products like power banks.
Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be handled differently from regular batteries because they pose a higher risk of fire. Your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection center may accept this power bank for safe disposal. Before visiting, contact the facility to confirm whether it accepts lithium-ion battery-powered devices from recall programs.
