The Complete Guide to Using the Anker App

The arrival of the Anker PowerHouse 767 marks a new beginning for mobile charging, proving that massive power can easily travel everywhere you need it. And with the release of the brand-new Anker app, not only can you bring this power anywhere – you can also conveniently control it from anywhere.

Expanding upon the physical control you have over the PowerHouse 767, the Anker app delivers advanced functionality and powerful command over your device that can only be accessed within the app. To understand all its features, read on for a handy quick start guide on how to utilize this remote-controlled power to the fullest.

Download the App

First things first: You need the Anker app! This free app is available to download from the platform of your choice: iOS users can download here from the App Store; Android users can download here from the Google Play store. Once installed on your phone, you are now ready to take full advantage of the advanced monitoring and mobile control of your Anker PowerHouse 767.

Register Your Account

Upon starting the Anker app for the first time, you will be prompted to link an account to the app. You may choose to use your Amazon account or Apple ID, or you can create an Anker account if you don't already have one.

After entering your email address and password, a verification code will be sent to your email. Once your account is verified, you will then be logged in to the Anker app.

Add Your Device

Connecting your PowerHouse 767 to the Anker app is a fast and simple process.

First, press and hold the IoT button for 2 seconds on the front side of the PowerHouse 767 (marked by the Bluetooth symbol). This initiates the pairing process.

Now open the Anker app. From the Home screen, tap the “+” icon at the top right – or you can press the Add Devices button near the bottom.

Your PowerHouse 767 will appear. Tap on the device icon and the power station will then tether to the app. You are now connected!

This pairing process only needs to be done once. You could now exit out of the app or even shut your phone off, and upon starting the app back up, you will automatically reconnect to the power station. And thanks to the reliability of Bluetooth, you’re able to maintain a stable remote connection to the PowerHouse 767 even when off-grid—very handy when no Wi-Fi networks are around!

Monitor and Control PowerHouse 767

To monitor and control your power station, first tap on the PowerHouse 767 under My Devices in the app Home screen. This brings you to the main device menu, where all status and functionality can be accessed.

At the very top of the screen you will see real-time updates of your power station’s Remaining Charging Time (if the PowerHouse 767 is currently being recharged) and the Remaining Use Time (if the PowerHouse 767 is actively powering any devices).

Below that is a numerical percentage and clear visual representation of your current Remaining Battery. Below this number is the current Battery Temperature, indicated by your choice of either degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Input

This section tells us how much power is currently going in to the PowerHouse 767 to recharge it. AC Input will most likely come from a wall outlet, plugged directly into the back of the power station. DC Input pertains to charging from sources like a car socket or from solar panels.

Having this real-time charging data displayed on your phone is particularly useful when you want to make sure that your solar panels are charging at their maximum potential. Instead of repeatedly going outside to check if the solar panels are aligned, you can simply glance at your phone for a convenient look at your power station’s current charging status.

Output

This next area displays all the AC and DC power currently serving any connected devices. AC Output shows the total wattage being sent from the AC ports, along with a graph that continuously displays the output in real-time.

DC output is shown in the USB Output and Car Port areas, with representation of each of the two car ports, two USB-A ports, and three USB-C ports.

Just as with the physical buttons on the device, you can turn on and off the AC Output and Car Port by pressing the Power icon next to the respective port. Yet the app allows for more finely-tuned control over this power delivery:

After tapping the Power button, a clock icon will appear. Press that, and you can now set a timer for when you would like the AC Output or Car Ports to automatically turn off—anywhere from 5 minutes to 24 hours later. This is useful for when you have things such as lights connected to the PowerHouse that you’d like to shut off at a certain time, or when you need complete control over your power usage in the event of a blackout.

Control

Below the output area is the Control section, where you can engage or disengage Power Saving Mode. When turned on, Power Saving Mode helps your power station conserve battery by automatically shutting down any output port once a connected device has been fully charged. However, it’s a good idea to leave Power Saving Mode off when connecting devices that require non-stop power, such as a CPAP machine or a camera when performing time-lapse photography.

The Brightness control allows you to easily turn on the PowerHouse 767’s built-in LED lamp, with settings for Low, Mid, or High intensity levels. Perfect for a remote controlled night light!

Access More Settings

Additional device settings can be accessed by tapping on the Settings cog icon in the top-right of the screen.

Function Settings

AC Recharging Power allows you to control the electrical current being delivered to the batteries. High-Speed Recharge is on by default, which utilizes the full 1400W of AC input to recharge the PowerHouse 767 – but the system’s fans will automatically turn on to keep temperatures low. Changing this setting to Silent Recharge will reduce the AC input to about 700W for a completely silent recharge—a great option for overnight charging.

When Light SOS Mode is activated, the device’s LED lamp will repeatedly flash an SOS signal – a handy feature in case of emergencies.

Screen Brightness controls the PowerHouse’s LCD screen display. Based on personal preference, or if you need to conserve battery, this can be set to Off, Low, Mid, or High brightness levels.

Screen Timeout will set how long the LCD screen will remain on when not in use. Options include 20s, 30s, 1min, 5mins, or 30mins.

General Settings

The first option in this section allows you to change the Device Name to add a bit of personal flair to your new PowerHouse.

Temperature sets your preference of monitoring battery temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Battery Health provides a clear understanding of your battery’s current Maximum Capacity, which determines the lifespan of your product. Generally, lithium batteries begin to degrade once their health reaches 80%. But remember: the LiFePO4 batteries found in Anker PowerHouse won’t reach 80% until at least 3,000 complete charge cycles (around 10 years of everyday use).

Entering the Firmware Upgrade setting allows you to update your PowerHouse to the most recent firmware released by Anker, so that your device takes advantage of all the latest features and bug fixes available.

If at any point you need to revert your PowerHouse 767 back to its initial factory settings, you can do so within Restore Default Settings. And if you want to completely disconnect and remove your PowerHouse 767 from the app: tap the red Delete Device button at the bottom of the screen. You can then reconnect the device by pairing it again using the steps previously outlined.

Modify Your Account

To modify your account or change User settings, first return to the app Home screen. Tap the Profile icon at the bottom right. This opens up the Account Center. Tapping your account name at the top allows you to edit your personal information.

From within the Account Center, you can receive customer support by tapping Help & Feedback on the nav menu. An FAQ section walks through some important details regarding the PowerHouse 767.

At the bottom of the screen, you can directly reach Anker's world-class customer support by tapping either Call Us to make a phone call, or Feedback to submit an email.

Finally, the Settings menu is where you can change the app Language, as well as adjust how the app sends notifications. Enter Message Settings to disable push notifications and alerts (such as when your battery is low) by turning on "Do Not Disturb". You can also schedule a start and end time if there is only a certain part of the day you prefer silencing notifications.
