FAQ
1. How do I connect Anker SOLIX Balcony Solar Panel to Anker SOLIX E1600 Solarbank?
Only three steps are required to connect the system:
- Connect the solar bank to the microinverter using the supplied MC4 Y output cables.
- Connect the micro-inverter to a power outlet using the original cable.
- Connect the solar panels to the solar bench using the supplied solar panel extension cables.
2. What is the charge allocation logic of E1600 Solarbank when connecting to Anker SOLIX Balcony Solar Power System?
Priority charging is based upon the power demand you set.
When PV power generation exceeds your demand, excess power is stored.
For example, if PV power generation is 800W at noon and power demand is 200W, you can allocate 200W to discharge power at that time (do so in the Anker app).
Our system automatically regulates the wattage and will store 600W to avoid wasting electricity.
That energy will be saved until you're ready to use it, even at night.
3. For a two-panel system, how large should my balcony or garden be?
For one 410W or 415W panel, you'll need 1.95m² of space. For two panels, you'll need 3.9m².
For one 540W panel, you'll need 2.58m² of space. For two panels, you'll need 5.16m².
4. Can I add multiple solar panels to Anker SOLIX E1600 Solarbank?
An Anker SOLIX E1600 Solarbank can only be connected to one Anker SOLIX Balcony Solar Panel system (2-panel set). If you want to add more modules, you need another Solarbank.
5. Is this all one system? Will all devices show in the Anker app?
Yes, all devices will show in the Anker app.
6. How We Calculate Electricity Cost and CO₂ Reductions
【Anker SOLIX Balcony Solar System (1080W)】
Calculation Reasoning
- Solar panel power generation is estimated based on environmental conditions in Germany. The 1080Wp solar panel can produce 1092kWh of electricity per year on average.
- Taking consumption time and converting efficiency into account, the average self-consumption rate of solar panels is 40%. With Solarbank, the self-consumption rate can be enhanced between 50% to 90%.
- The electricity cost saved is based on €0.40/kWh, the official Feb. 2023 average electricity price in Germany.
- The generation of 1kWh of electricity from solar panels is equivalent to reducing CO₂ emissions by 0.997kg. The average emissions per vehicle were 129.9g CO₂ per km in Germany in 2018.
- Anker SOLIX RS50B solar panel has a 25-year lifespan with an output retention rate of at least 84.8%, guaranteed.
- Solarbank has a 15-year lifespan. Battery replacement may be required over its use.
Electricity Bill Savings
- Anker SOLIX RS50B Balcony Solar with Solarbank
1092kWh × 90% × €0.40 per kWh × 25 Years = €9,828
- Anker SOLIX RS50B Solar Balcony
1092kWh × 40% × €0.40 per kWh × 25 Years = €4,368
Estimated CO₂ Reduction
- Anker SOLIX RS50B Balcony Solar with Solarbank
1092kWh × 90% × 0.997Kg CO₂ per kWh × 25 Years = 24,496kg CO₂
- Anker SOLIX RS50B Solar Balcony
1092kWh × 40% × 0.997Kg CO₂ per kWh × 25 Years = 10,887kg CO₂
- Driving and CO₂ Emissions
1092kWh × 90% × 0.997kg ÷ 0.1299 kgCO₂ per km = 7,543km
